Gloria Akor, Manager Administration and HR, Port Harcourt Water Corporation Barr. Gloria Akor was appointed Manager, Human Resources and Administration in July 2015 as a multi-disciplinary professional with over 25 years working experience.

She is a Law graduate from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos (1990) and the University of Calabar (1989); she also possesses a Diploma in Purchasing & Supply from CIPS London (2014) and is a Certified Mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution London.

She started her career as an Associate Solicitor in a reputable firm of legal practitioners (Rhodes & Rhodes), but later diversified when she moved to CMB Homes (A subsidiary of Continental Merchant Bank) and took on the role of a Human Resources and Administration Officer.

In 1996, she joined Mobil producing (now Exxon Mobil) and worked for 10years in various capacities as a Procurement Coordinator and briefly as a Tax Analyst & Adviser.

In 2009, she joined Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority as the Unit Head, Due Process & Controls and currently is a board member of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority.

Barr. Gloria Akor is a member, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and International Bar Association (IBA), Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management Ghana, Chartered Institute of Warehousing & Materials Management Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply London. She is also a member of the Rotary club.
